Bottomline: I really love this place very much & I'll be back!! ^^
Passing by the bridge in the afternoon! Nice righty? =)
I love the bridge! Maybe related to my studies but I find it simply niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *LoL* It's a really really long bridge... Nice lar!! Keke...
We visited many temples in this trips! One of which is the Guan Yin temple (built in 1800), the most ancient temple in Penang.
The Guan Yin Temple looks smaller on the outside but inside is rather big... =)
We spotted this on the way to Guan Yin Templeā¦
Hehe... they still use this to pay their carpark fees o... =P so cute!! Anney taught me how to read it! They don't pay their carpark the way we do in Singapore... Mostly is you park there, then an indian (usually) will walk over, write you a receipt & you pay him...
Another temple where we classified it as "The Most Enriching Place" = The Snake Temple! The temple has snakes inside it. On the main altar, there're 2 coils at the sides (1 at each side)... & 3 to 4 snakes coiled around it. As they were motionless & the colours of the skins are quite fakey (like painting!), we almost thought they're fake... So, out of curiosity, we asked an ah ma who is selling incense & joss sticks in the temple... she told us they're all real ones!! I asked her why aren't they moving at all? She told me, they're sleeping in the day... at night, they'll come down and move around... keke... so interesting!
Then walking to one side, there's this snake exhibition place where we get to "feel", "touch", "hug" & "carry" the snakes! Eeeeeeyer... can't believe myself... touching some small snakes still no big deal... I touched this 80kg python... The uncle who is handling the snakes, still tell me that python just ate 3 live chickens... if u smell of chicken, that's it! Think you'll be the 4th one to lie inside his stomach! An auntie who is working there, told me if the python were to eat me up, she won't have to feed the python for at least 2 months!! My friends offered to leave me behind... =( *Thanks lehhh* Keke... I know they're just joking... how can they bear to? *heh heh* =P
*Da Dangggggggggg* 80kg Python! One fatty lazy snake!
While taking the pic, this biggie python moved at where I was touching it! Scaredddd the hellllllllll outta me man!! The pic got me flying away!! *LoL* Nope... not showing here... wahahaha... But I succeeded at taking the 2nd shot! *Clap Clap* =P
&& Mama!! Save me!! King Cobra is out!!
The fiercest & most venomous of all snakes ---> *Da Dang!!* King Cobra!!
The cobra head is not flat like that when it is resting... It looks like a normal snake... It's only when provoked then the head becomes flat flat & it'll stood up (like the pic above)! The auntie & uncle told us that if you're near a cobra & it actually stood up, plssssss don't ever move! Cobras go by movements... If you move, it'll attack you straightaway! You must wait till the head comes down, like back to normal, then you can start to run!
Then I thought of those trumpet blowing turban men... blowing the small trumpet, swaying left and right & slowly moving up... the snake in a basket also move up, following the turban man's movement! *LoL* So I popped the question to the auntie... Auntie says that kind is cobra loh... that's why many people in india died coz they don't know how to handle a cobra... they anyhow catch as they wanna earn a living... so in the end, got killed by the cobras... Awwww...
Another kind of cobra... This one looks clean & naked... -.-"
This man in the pic got this long big scar on his left hand! The auntie told us he got bitten by a cobra while working! The cobra injected the venom into him & *PoOf* he was off into a 5-day coma in the ICU... the doctor scrapped off his flesh to prevent the venom from spreading... and he survived miraculously! *Thank God* But then, his left hand is weak since then... couldn't hold heavy things anymore... but he still not scared man... still playing with cobras... can kiss cobra somemore!! -.-" *Good Luck* Dude! You are the man (The 'hm-kia-si' man)!
*YuCkS yUcKs YuCkS* (x150) Creature!
This is Gecko! Lizard-like creature... cannot touch one!! Read about it yourself... I see ler... goosebumps also stand up man! Like a big big lizard with brown spots all over its body! I feel that it somehow has this evil grin... -.-" really larrrr... u see carefully... it's grinning all the way loh!! Don't what it is thinking also... must be some evil thoughts! *GooseBumps Standing*
I can't help but noticing this:
What are these cutey things doing here in a snake temple??? Omg... I hope it's not what I think...
The auntie told us we can use RM$10 to buy 3 types of food for the snakes & watch them eat! Snakes eat chickens, rats, hamsters! All eaten alive! She continued to add that we could choose which snakes we want to see! Wth... how could we?? Like so cruel... temple somemore... I can't imagine... seeing them eat up cute fluffy hamster den still smiling and amazed meh? Still say: "wah! See see! Whole thing go down ler!!" Or see the poor chicken trying its best to fly away from the big-mouth-snake but eventually ended up in the stomach & we go "wooooo... the snake mouth really big lehhh!!"?! Or the poor lil' grey micey squeaking to death & we exclaimed "woahhhhh... the snake is faster than the mice ooooo!"?? Dun wan dun wan... I know it's a food chain... but I dun wan to be the one feeding them... *Amitabha*
(to be cont'd)
Nice Mah? ^^
Hee... We went by coachy... ard 9 hrs or so... sit until backside gonna explode! =P Luckily never ler... *LoL* Along the whole journey, I got Xiao Pooh with me... =) Whenever I'm not home, I would bring Xiao Pooh along with me... =)
Presenting... Xiao Pooh! I love Xiao Pooh... =)
We took the 9pm coach & reached Penang around 6am! =) On the coach, we met a couple, very nice people also... Kelly & Ken! They're a young couple & both are malaysians. They were going back to Ken's hometown (Penang). Kelly helped me with contacting Anney... They were really helpful & super niceeeeeeeeeee! So glad we met nice people during our trip! It's so important that you meet nice people along the way, espcially in foreign countries... *SmileS*
Anney reached an hr later with Alex... We hugged each other tightly the very first moment we met! Awwwww... so warm... =) Then it was breakfast for us! =Pp They drove us to Gurney... opposite our breakfast place, is a wide wide sea... so wide that you can't even see the other end... they've got no breakwaters... all natural... really different from our Singapore beaches... *Wink*
